The hibiscus is a flower that I never paid much attention to until I moved to the semi arid coastal bend city of Corpus Christi, Texas. Our home had probably a dozen hibiscus plants of several varieties. My favorate was a beautiful coral-orange one. Unfortunatly, the drought in south Texas was bad and all my hibiscus suffered. That, in combination with a former gardener that severely pruned them at the wrong time of year, all but killed every bush. I have missed these bloming beauties.
