Torched
I love painting flowers. Even the most mundane blossom can turn into a beautiful subject for a painting. This Torch Ginger was seen at a botanical garden in Pennsylvania last year. I just loved the varying texture of it, and the bold blossom in such a striking color. I hadn't painted many florals this year and decided I needed to do one. I'm glad I did. As soon as I finished it, it was juried into an exhibit. Now I'm dashing to get it framed!
